Manu Rosales: Volver siguiendo (Return in continuation)

Manu Rosales is an Argentine songwriter, composer, and producer based in Finland.

His music is deeply rooted in the song traditions of Buenos Aires, shaped by the rich
and cosmopolitan influences that define the city. At the same time, his work engages
with broader South American musical languages, including Brazilian and Andean
traditions.

He currently presents his latest work, Volver Siguiendo (“Return in Continuation”), a
concert built on the dialogue between a transcultural ensemble and Rosales’ original
compositions. The performance invites listeners on a journey through diverse South
American soundscapes, brought to life through an unexpected and evocative
combination of instruments.

Rosales’ guitar and voice are joined by the Anatolian kamancha, the Brazilian pífano,
and the Andean quena, alongside double bass and an Iberian percussion set. In
selected pieces, cello, piano, and bass clarinet further expand the sonic landscape.

Developed through a collective creative process, Volver Siguiendo brings together
distinct musical voices, creating a space where traditional and contemporary artistic
languages converge.

The concert is arranged in collaboration with Interkult Culture Hub
